Scope and Content Maryburgh is at the top of the photo and the river Conon. From the left spanning the River Conon is the road bridge carrying the A862 built in 1969 designed by Arrol, replacing the original 5 arch Telford bridge built in 1806-9. Before that there was a ferry. The next bridge carries a pipe. Left is the 4 arch railway viaduct designed by Joseph Mitchell in 1862, remarkable in its day for its size and being built on the skew. Beside the river is the former site of a fabrication yard and the Conon Cold store. To the left of the road bridge is the Drouthy Duck Public House, now derelict, a former late 18c coaching Inn. To the right is the Conon Hotel early 19c. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
