Scope and Content Row of 60 1 and 2 storey houses at Glen Lia (middle top) were built in 1896 to house workers at the newly built aluminium smelter below at the lochside. A fountain to celebrate the Queen's jubilee in 1897 sits in the middle of the square. The Falls of Foyers (middle) are a natural feature. The road through the village is the line of General Wade's Military Road. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
