Date 24/10/2010

Collection Papers of James Sloan Bone, landscape historian, Inverness, Highland, Scotland

Category On-line Digital Images

Scope and Content This is a very wide view of the Cromarty Firth. On the near side of the Firth is the Black Isle with the South Sutor towards the centre right of picture. On the far side of the Firth is Easter Ross with the North Sutor opposite the South Sutor. The Nigg Construction Yard can just be seen as white buildings. Invergordon can been seen rather indistinctly towards the upper left of picture. Although there are many recorded sites in this area, none can identified in such a wide view.
