Scope and Content A close view of the WW2 Royal Naval Airfield showing the runways and perimeter road. Just inside the perimeter road in the lower right an irregularly shaped area of rough grass stands out against the ploughed field. In its top right is the listed Control Tower, and across the road below that, the remains of hangars, Nissan huts, air raid shelters and other buildings. The bomb store is located in the upper right beyond the perimeter road within a discreet area of trees and rough ground. To the upper left of the photograph, due left of the bomb store are the ruins of another hangar. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
