Scope and Content A general view over with the WW1 Dalmore pier in the lower right with a lookout tower at the tip and submarine mine depot running along the shore both right and left of the pier head. In the trees above the depot Dalmore Distillery and in the open ground to the right of the distillery on either side of the A9 running left to right is a prehistoric occupation site. In the trees above the white roofed distillery buildings lies Dalmore House and to its left and just below the trees the firing range associated with the Seaplane Base. That lies further left on Alness Point beyond the Alness River outflow and is now a business park. Above Dalmore House there is the Teaninich Distillery and to its right and above the town of Alness with numerous buildings of note.
