Scope and Content This view shows the medieval tower house of Castle Stuart (Canmore ID 14209) in the trees on the left and the nearby golf course (Canmore ID 310463) under construction. Culloden on the outskirts of Inverness can be seen at the top of the view. St Columbas Church of Petty and the Macintosh Vault (Canmore ID 14246) also the Watch house (Canmore ID 101173) and the manse (Canmore ID 100485) are in the wooded area at the centre of the photograph. Two mounds to the west of the church are thought to be mottes (Canmore ID 14218). Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
