Scope and Content This view is taken from above the Ardersier Oil Rig Construction Yard (Canmore ID 75252). It shows the town of Nairn on the right, Culbin Forest in the centre with Burghead in the shadowy distance. The extensive scheduled area of WW2 anti landing obstacles (glider traps) (Canmore ID 302348) on the sands adjacent to Culbin forest is clearly seen although the tide is full and it is covered by water. The Nairn Golf Course is seen on the right and the site of the Old Fishertown of Delnies (HER MHG53537) which appears on Roys Military map of c. 1750 is in the bottom right hand corner.
