Date 16/3/2008

Scope and Content This view shows the site of the WW2 defences, the accommodation buildings, searchlight battery and radar station. Most are now just concrete platforms but the former officer mess remains intact and is now a private house. At the top of the cliff is St Mary's Well, the alleged site of a Trinitarian Friary. In the distance is North Sutor with its coastal gun batteries from WW1 and WW2, deeply set in concrete, numerous Canmore and HER refences. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
