Scope and Content Just R of centre is The Barmkyn Fort and Cairn, a bivallate hillfort and a cairn of prehistoric date, visible as upstanding remains. It stands on the crest of the rounded Hill of Airlie, NW of Keig, N of the Howe of Alford. At lower L is North Keig farmhouse. Just at the lower base of the curved piece of forest is Kittyhurst Well, shown on OS 1st & 2nd edition maps. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
