Scope and Content The town of Nairn sits 15miles E of Inverness on the Moray coast. Formerly the chief town of Nairnshire, it was a fishing town, then a Victorian tourist resort, now a satellite commuter town for Inverness. Ben Rinnes hill is prominent L of centre on the skyline.
