Scope and Content In the centre is the sewage treatment plant at Allanfearn on the shore of the Moray Firth with Culloden and Balloch in the background. Excavations in 1993 revealed a possible early Bronze Age occupation site with cremation remains, pits and possible post holes. There was also evidence of later boundary ditches. To the left of the site, investigations were made of the crop marks of square and circular barrows (Iron Age).
