Scope and Content Kilravock Castle (circa 1475) originally consisted of a quadrilateral keep. In the 17th century the keep was enlarged into a castle with the addition of a staircase and large rectangular building. There have been subsequent alterations since, with it now (2021) being privately occupied. In the trees above the castle is a dovecot, contemporary with the second phase of the building (16c) of Kilravock Castle. It is reputed to be on the site of an older Chapel. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
