Scope and Content This is a distant view of Balnagown Castle showing the policies and surrounding countryside and looking over to Nigg Bay at top right. Balnagown Castle was built by the Ross family in the C14 but was much altered in the C17 and again in the C18 & C19. It remained in the hands of the Ross family till 1978. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
