Scope and Content The clearance cairns of the Bronze Age Torboll field system, a Scheduled Ancient Monument (SAM) named "Carn Liath", with several hut circles, dominate this view. There are also two Neolithic chambered cairns, Carn Liath (in the distinct forest clearing) and Craig [Creag] a' Bhlair (below dark patch on far sunlit hillside). Carn Liath has a well-defined passage and chamber (roofless). Both cairns are part of the Carn Liath SAM. Canmore names the cairns as above, but HER records both cairns under the name Carn Liath. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
