Scope and Content Carrbridge is at the NW gateway to the Cairngorms National Park. It was an early centre for skiing in Scotland. At the bottom left hand corner are the remains of the 1717 pack horse bridge over the River Dulnain, for pedestrians and horses. When the river was in spate, burials at the Church of Duthil were often delayed, so the bridge was paid for out of stipends of the Parish. Above it is the new road bridge carrying the B9153. Top left is the Carrbridge Hotel originally established as an Inn in 1803. Further right along the main street is the Cairn Hotel. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
