Scope and Content This is a close view of the development at Balloan on the south side of Inverness. There are records relating to the farmstead at Balloan and the steading has been converted to housing and called Culduthel Court. At lower right of picture is William Fraser's Funeral Home and in the area at top right prehistoric settlement remains have been found. Slackbuie Avenue runs from bottom left to top right, but this photograph predates the building of the Southern Distributor Road and Fairways Roundabout.
