Scope and Content Torvean Quarry is to the right. Above this on a ridge is Torvean Iron age Fort, now listed in the Atlas of Hill forts. Left of this is the Caledonian Canal, designed by Telford early 19c. To the left of this is the River Ness, and on its left bank the Holm Mills mill lade shown on the 1st Edition OS. Left of this is Gray's Timber yard now demolished as part of the new Inverness West Link road development. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
