Scope and Content Carnachy lies between Syre and Bettyhill in Strathnaver and on the east side of the river is the area known as Dunviden (in this view at bottom of picture). At Dunviden there are the remains of a settlement, a broch and a chambered cairn. West of the river there is an extensive area of settlement and the possible site of a battle. Dun Chealamy Broch sits above the Carnachy Burn which runs into the River Naver (from top L of image). Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
