Scope and Content Carnachy lies between Syre and Bettyhill in Strathnaver and the broch sits above, to the S of, the Carnachy Burn which runs unto the River Naver. On the north side of this burn there are several enclosures and hut circles. This area, too, is traditionally the site of a battle. Carnachy township is at top right.
