Scope and Content Rylosk is a deserted township in the foreground of this photograph, cleared in 1814. On the far side of the road is Langdale, another deserted township. This area between Syre and Bettyhill has many sites of archaeological interest. The circular enclosure with additions at left of centre is a livestock pen.
