Scope and Content This view shows the peninsula of Chanonry Ness in the Moray Firth. At the tip of the Ness is a lighthouse, built 1846 by Alan Stevenson, with associated lighthouse-keepers' cottages. The Kessock Bridge can be seen further up the Firth, and in the distance, down the Great Glen, is the characteristic dome-shaped summit of Meall Fuar-mhonaidh.
