Scope and Content Nigg Fabrication yard on the Cromarty Firth is in the foreground. Oil riggs were constructed there between 1971 and 2009 and it had the largest dry dock in Europe. Oil storage tanks are visible centre right, in the foreground is the remains of Dunskeath country house which became a military Hospital in WW1. At the shore is the WW1 Royal Navy pier shore.
