Scope and Content The small settlement of Littleferry, top left, has a concrete landing point, wood panelled waiting room, storehouse and boat house. The ferry ran across Loch Fleet at the narrows. Littleferry was reportedly to site of a skirmish in 1746, in which Caithness men were attacked by troops of the Sutherlands. Human remains have been located. In the centre of the photo is Littleferry Links where fragments of a carved Pictish stone were found in 1873.
