Scope and Content Aldourie castle on the SE shore of Loch Ness, was built as a laird's house in 1626. A north wing and turrets were added by William Fraser Tytler in 1850, creating an historic castle. It has since been restored several times from c. 1900 onwards. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
