Scope and Content This is a very wide view of Skibo Castle, on the right of picture, and the countryside to the north of the inner Dornoch Firth. Skibo Castle started life as a Bishop's Palace in the C16 and was rebuilt by Andrew Carnegie at the end of the C19 as a grand mansion. It now operates as a hotel. Loch Evelix is at the bottom of the picture. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
