Scope and Content A wide view of the firths with the Clachnaharry Sea Lock and Basin lower right. To the left and on either side of the Beauly Firth the N and S Kessock piers which served the former ferry. Above the S Kessock pier close to the centre of the image a breakwater and beacon mark the outflow of the River Ness and the recessed Inverness Harbour.
