Scope and Content A general view of Skibo castle, a country house built by Andrew Carnegie c1900 on the site of a medieval and later Bishop's Palace. Just beyond the castle are the terraced gardens and to the left the walled kitchen garden partially screened by trees. To the right of the castle, by the shore, is a complex of buildings comprising garages, stables and staff housing with the swimming pool partially visible to its left and above.
