Scope and Content In the flat, green area beyond the machair, the rectangular burial ground, Clach Mhuire, contains early medieval cross slabs. The early 19th-C mansion, Calgary House, is seen beyond, among the trees on the wooded slope. To the right, at the foot of the slope, is a walled garden, apparently overgrown. Mull's northern arms, Quinish and Mishnish, occupy the middle distance with the mainland mountains on the horizon. Much of Mull consists of igneous rocks which are here seen forming characteristic terraces from successive lava flows. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
