Scope and Content This is a wide view of the area of Inverness on the west side of the river. Ord Hill, with its vitrified fort, is at top right and below it is the Kessock Bridge, opened in 1982. Tomnahurich Cemetery, laid out in 1863, is at the bottom of the picture. Dalneigh Primary School, opened in 1957, is left of centre and to its right is Inverness High School which moved from the Crown to this Art Deco building in 1937.
