Scope and Content This view focuses on Stratherrick Road which runs from top right to bottom centre. At top left on the river is Holm Mills which was established around 1771 by James Pringle from Brora. The Mill was bought by Edinburgh Wool Company in 1989 and became the Holm Mills Shopping Village. Lochardil Primary School, opened 1964, is at right centre and above it is the Lochardil House Hotel. Lochardil House Hotel is at right centre. Lochardil House was built in 1876-78 and became a hotel in 1956. The gap site at the centre of the photo is now Stratherrick Gardens.
