Scope and Content This is a view of the Muirtown Basin on the Caledonian Canal at Inverness. The River Ness is at top of picture and Merkinch and South Kessock lie between the river and the canal. The Scorguie development, high above the Firth, is at bottom right. The Clachnaharry locks and the railway swing bridge are at bottom left.
