Scope and Content This is a view of the mouth of the River Ness with the harbour and the Longman Industrial estate on the left bank and South Kessock on the right bank. The Kessock Bridge (opened 1982) is at bottom left. The Western Breakwater is to the right of the mouth of the river and just off-shore and visible at low tide are the remains of a cairn (Cairn Arc) which is believed to have been erected as a warning to shipping.
