Several stones were destroyed in the 19th century, but thanks to restoration work done in the early 20th century 4 of the 12 stones still remain. This is an aerial view of the site. It shows the remaining standing stones and part of the enclosing ditch. When the site was excavated the bones of cattle sheep and dog were found in the ditch along with a human finger bone.
