Scope and Content The collection comprises photographic copies of drawings in possession of the Burgh of Elgin including: design for Court House and Jail 1837 (William Robertson); design for Court House and Jail 1832 (Archibald Simpson?); design for New Market 1848 (Thomas Mackenzie?); design for Elgin Gasworks 1846 and 1855; designs for restoration of the Bishop's House by Robert Rowand Anderson 1892 (two alternative schemes with a copy of accompanying letter to the Town Clerk). NMRS Jubilee Guide, 1991.

Archive History Survey of drawings in possession of the Burgh of Elgin, Moray, and copied by RCAHMS in 1971. Previously catalogued as Collection 262/281.
