Scope and Content Watch tower at Muir O'Fauld, Perth and Kinross This Roman watch tower is at Muir O'Fauld. The outer bank still survives on the ground, though is much reduced in height. The watch tower probably dates from the Flavian period. This is an aerial view of the site with the watch tower showing up as a pale, circular clearing. The ditch surrounding the tower was about 3.5 m wide. One causeway leads over the ditch and it is under 3 m in width. The site was first recorded during the 19th century and was partially excavated in 1900. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
