Scope and Content Dunfermline Congregational Church, Canmore Street, Dunfermline, Fife Dunfermline Congregational Church was built in 1841-3 by John Baird of Glasgow. The church is built in early Renaissance Tudor Gothic style with long, latticed windows. Historical styles like those based on early Renaissance architecture became popular in the 19th century, partly because they reflected national, rather than Classical, architectural traditions.
