Photographer: 'CHC' Date: 'June 1963' View of south-east angle of Kiltearn Old Parish Church, Ross and Cromarty Kiltearn Old Parish Church was constructed in its present form in 1791, incorporating the pre-existing south aisle and parts of an earlier church on the same site. The south aisle (on the left of the photograph) was built in 1743 for the Munros of Foulis. This contained the private pews for the family, in what was known as a 'laird's loft'. Although fully roofed in this photograph of 1963, the church is now out of use, and roofless. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
