Description Interior general detail. Boiler House. Basement area. Vertical spindle mill no. 3A. This mill or pulveriser takes coal from the coal bunker above and pulverises it with angled rollers which can just be glimpsed through the open door at gantry level. The pulverised coal is then blown up pipes to the distributers which in turn feed the pulverised coal into the boiler plant. Any rejects/foreuiign bodies are ejected into pits
