Scope and Content The collection comprises photographic copies of drawings for Kinnaird Castle, Angus, including: a bound volume of plans for Kinnaird by Sir William Bruce and Alexander Edward 1695-98 and John Slezer, and designs for additions by David Bryce 1853-55. NMRS Jubilee Guide, 1991.

Administrative History Kinnaird Castle, the home of the Earls of Southesk, is a large three-storey mansion house, designed by James Playfair in 1790 and remodelled in French Baronial style in 1854-62 by David Bryce. Within the south wing are the remains of the 15th century tower house.
