Scope and Content Broch at Hoga Ness, Unst, Shetland This broch is at Hoga Ness. The broch itself is not well preserved, though the outer defences are. A rectangular building to the N of the remains is probably a skeo from the nearby ruined croft. It has been built from stone taken from the broch. This is a plan of the site. On the landward side, the broch is surrounded by two ramparts and ditches. The entrance is on the N side. The broch itself has been built to one side of the enclosure, allowing room for outbuildings to the N and W. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
