Scope and Content Machine Tool processes: Turning. Small Boxford modelmaker's lathe which consists of a headstock, chuck, indexing tool-post, tailstock, gearbox, saddle and cross slide. Piece of silver steel in chuck. Facing and turning of the fitted bolt for the drilled coupling being demonstrated. Cooling/lubricating fluid is applied by brush. Waste or swarf can be seen on right.
