Scope and Content Trench 5 just within the northern rampart from the SE looking NW. The 'Swiss-rolls' of turf on the trench-side are patently too large to have been manually removed. Rather they indicate formation in the bucket of the D8 caterpillar as a broad 'roll'. (H-T Trench D)
