Scope and Content Description of esquisse on the back: The esquisse depicts a scene of Scotland: Edinburgh living in the future. Due to extreme climate change heavy flooding has inevitably engulfed the country. Citizens are now encouraged to move and live within the city buoys. The buoys power is generated by underwater turbines which can also be used to manoeuvre. The structure has a hard solar shell maximising on collecting any solar power available as all fossil fuels are either unreachable or diminished. The structure’s form allows the buoyant cities to withstand punishing storms with high winds and dangerous breakers acting as sanctuaries to the inhabitants. These are pocket man made ecosystems where crops are grown and are free of any emissions creating a clean air environment.
