Scope and Content This 10-page document records the reults of an archaeological asssessment of the proposed site of two new houses, carried out by Orkney Research Centre for Archaeology (ORCA) on behalf of Orkney Housing ASsociation Ltd. The earthwork ridge of Muckle Gairsty passes close by the development site, but provided the contractors are aware of the dyke so that machinaery and site workers do not damage it, it was unlikely that anything of archaeological interest will be disturbed by the works.
