Scope and Content The upper left rubbing shows detail of the lower shaft of the East face of a high cross, formerly known as St John's Cross and now called 'Iona St Matthew's Cross', now removed to the Abbey Museum in 1994, probably dating from about 800. It preserves a square panel of diagonal key-ornament and a damaged representation of the temptation of Adam and Eve, who stand below the fruit-laden branches of the tree. The middle left rubbing shows detail of a cross-slab known as 'Inchinnan No.2', now in the new parish church of Inchinnan (NS 479 689) following the demolition of the old church in 1977. The bottom left rubbing shows detail from a high cross formerly known as St John's Cross and now called 'Iona St Matthew's Cross', now removed to the Abbey Museum in 1994, probably dating from about 800. The upper right rubbing shows detail of a Pictish symbol stone, known as 'Rosemarkie No.4', found in Rosemarkie churchyard. The bottom right rubbing is yet to be identified.
