Scope and Content Rubbings of an early medieval free standing cross, dating from the late 9th to early 10th century, located in a field in Thornhill, Dumfries-shire. The left rubbing shows the front of the cross. The middle rubbing shows the back of the cross. The right rubbing shows the right side of the cross. All sides are carved with zoomorphic and foliaceous interlaced work.
