Description Main building, courtyard between Wings C and D, elevated view from NE. The 1912/13 building on right. Second phase connecting range and Wing D on left. The structure of the building (despite replaced windows) can be seen clearly: concrete frame with pre-cast holes for brackets etc., brick infill and maximum glazing. One of the four Goods Lift shafts is visible on the left. This would have been big enough to take raw materials and workers between floors. Larger lift shafts were built onto the the south facade and these would have carried cars from floor to floor during manufacture. The partial third floor still has its original fenestration.
