Scope and Content , cf PAs 87, 88, 89, 92 and 93. Hard backed album with green cloth cover, labelled inside back cover 'The Temple Album no S1626, W. Johnson & Sons, Makers, London' Cardboard pages, c.1905. Inscribed "We stand with the distance between us/ The distance that makes no bar/ And wait for the word of greeting/ That comes to each from afar/ And the thoughts that from one to the other/ As swift as an arrow darts/ Flows clear as a crystal ripple/ O'er the golden sands of our hearts." Mostly racecourse views, with crowd scenes, probably at Musselburgh - could this relate to Strang, the Pioneer of 1d points ? Clues include the names of bookies - Jim Bird, John Gorman - a tram labelled Pilrig, P.O., Salisbury Place and Churchill, a car no. S134 and people swimming off a timber tower wearing very unbecoming bathing suits. Also souvenir pictures of people, some with Edinburgh settings.
