UtC-1560

Plant fibres over slate fragments which had flaked off the north side slab of a cist in a a rock cut tomb, probably of the same date as plant fibres covering a pile of cremated human bones in the cist. The latter fibres were probably of the sedge and grass families and may have contained arthropod droppings (Tomlinson in Dalland 1999, 392, 397). This date is c. 1000 years later than dates from other material in the tomb.
