A charred barley grain from midden level 5 A1, the lower (but not basal) layer of 'Late Neolithic' midden in Trench B: darker silty, not so clay rich, with dark grey-brown charcoal flecks and with stones at the bottom of the layer. Grooved Ware predominated at the site, but round-bottomed bowl was present at lower levels.
